The Danish minister of the environment Kirsten Brosbøl presented “The First National Outdoor Policy of Denmark” in 2015 to the environmental committee. The proposal was based on a working group that has been ongoing since 2013.
Nine networks had been working on developing ideas for projects that could activate the benchmarks of the policy. The networks consisted of leading danish stakeholders from the outdoor and tourism industri, including Bugge Holm Hansen from Mediehuset Luksus / Active Nation Agency. The work was kicked off with a ‘Future Workshop’ in April 2013. In total, the 125 ideas were collected in the “Catalog of ideas for Outdoor Policy”.
